When I took over as Police and Crime Commissioner, Leicestershire and Rutland was lagging behind in the attention paid to rural policing. That has all now changed. We now have:
A dedicated Rural Policing Unit.
We held a Safer Streets Event in Oadby & Wigston on 15 November when we handed out home security equipment such as window alarms, video door bells and light timer switches to a carefully selected range of residents. Find out more in this video. now with subtitles.
