On Sunday I was privileged to be invited to visit the Ramgharia Gurdwara in Meynell Road, Leicester. I was greeted by Harminder Singh, who kindly showed me the Durbar Hall where a service was taking place. I greatly enjoyed the all-female group of singers, and the musicians who followed. We then moved through to enjoy the hospitality in the Langar - which was delicious - before going on to meet the Committee. We discussed many different issues affecting the Sikh Community in Leicester - including those relating to crime and policing.
I greatly look forward to a return visit in the not too distant future.
