It’s shocking to see this type of violence taking place on the streets of Leicester, particularly at this time. The Police are doing a great job in challenging circumstances and I am assured that a significant police presence will be in place during the coming days. I fervently hope that peace and calm can be restored in our communities very quickly and am talking to community leaders to see how, together we can help.
The officers involved deserve our admiration and thanks for their continued commitment to our safety.
