Just before Christmas I visited the Welford Road ground of the Leicester Tigers to view the security and crowd control measures in place on match days. Obviously I cannot detail everything that the club has in place to deal with security issues, but I must say that I was very impressed by the measures both the physical features and the training that is given to staff. It was good to see that such effective measures are in place to keep our rugby match-goers safe. My thanks to Mr Steve Haylett, Chief Safety Officer, and his team for looking after me and explaining everything so clearly.
