A few weeks ago the Light and Life Church held a large event at the County Showground near Market Harborough. This caused a good deal of anxiety in advance, though in the event it passed off without much incident. At the time I promised councillors that I would look into how the event had been dealt with by the Leicestershire Police. I reproduce here the letter that I have now sent to the councillors for the area. Though I must stress that this was a private event on private land and so the Leicestershire Police were involved only indirectly.
