I was recently interviewed by Channel Punjab TV about my campaign to be Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire and Rutland. The interview covered a lot of ground, including my background as a historian, my ambitions for policing in Leicester and how to deter crime from happening.
The interview was part of a longer news report. You can watch the TV news report HERE.
Channel Punjab TV tell me that they want to go back to their roots and to give the Punjabi community what they want and what they need have been missing, a channel where they can sit with the whole family together and watch quality programming which will appeal to the whole family. Punjabi language and culture is full of life and color with so much to offer It is time to give the Punjabi’s of the world an international platform so that we show the whole world what we have to offer;
FAMILY VALUES, CULTURE, HISTORY, RELIGION, MUSIC, DANCE, COMEDY, FOOD, DOCUMENTARIES, SERIALS, AND MUCH MORE
With the passage of time and modernization, the new generation of Punjabi is being denied of this very fact and we are losing our culture and identity. Our younger generations need a platform where they too can express themselves and contribute to society and ensure that the culture is rejuvenated.
CHANNEL PUNJAB is offering a wide range of informative, entertainment and news which will touch upon all aspects of Punjabi culture.
