On Saturday I took my street stall to Birstall, in Charnwood, where I was joined by local councillors as we chatted to shoppers and passersby. It soon became clear that burglary was a real concern in Birstall. Several people told us that houses in their street had been burgled, while one of the shopkeepers came out to tell us about shoplifting and other retail crimes in the area. And then who should come along but Ed Argar MP, the Member of Parliament for Charnwood. I asked him about the national picture regarding police and crime - as you can see in this video.
