The East Midlands War Memorials Association has produced a number of free educational resources for schools in the region to use on the subject of the First World War. The lesson plans can be used by teachers for Key Stages 1, 2 & 3. They can be found on the Association's website here.
Rupert Matthews, chairman of the EMWMA, commented:
"One of the main objectives of the Association is to ensure that our younger generation understand the sacrifices of those who have come before us. These lesson plans will hopefully help students learn more about the First World War.
"These are completely free for schools to use. All we ask is that if teachers have found them useful, for them to get in touch as we'd love to have their feedback."
