On Saturday 1st February I was out in the Humberstone area with a number of Young Conservatives to carry out my Crime Survey. We met several people who told us about crime in their area, and delivered over 500 leaflets to residential properties. When the replies to the survey come back in I will add them to my growing database on the public's attitude to crime and policing in Leicester.
Meanwhile, the local residents that we talked to told us about a number of burglaries that were carried out on houses in the run up to Christmas and about drug dealing taking place on streets nearby.
