On 24 January 2023 I spent a day in the Blaby area undertaking a series of Community Liaison events.
It is part of my job to find out what the people are thinking about crime, anti-social behaviour and policing and to use that knowledge to hold the Chief Constable to account for the way in which he provides an efficient and effective policing service that reflects the priorities of the public.
I began with a meeting in Enderby with Cllr Terry Richardson, the Leader of Blaby Council before moving on the Blaby to meet Cllr Hartshorn to discuss road safety concerns. After a stop at Northfield Park in Blaby I moved on to Braunstone Town to call in on businesses and talk to residents. I went next to Kilby where the local watch scheme is helping after a theft from the church. I then went out on foot patrol with PCSO Callum Loades in Narborough before finishing the day in Croft.
Watch the video to find out what I discovered.
